Downdraft extraction specialist Bora has broadened its appeal to retailers and designers with the launch of its new X Bo steam oven.
The introduction of X Bo – which will be available in the UK at the beginning 2022 – not only marks the brand’s first foray into the oven market but also its first launch outside of its product specialism – extraction – for 14 years.
Speaking at the virtual UK press launch of the new oven Bora UK & Ireland sales manager, Andy Cummings said:
“We have been specialists in downdraft extraction since the company was launched in 2007 and the Bora X Bo oven is our first launch in a new product category in 14 years. We are, unsurprisingly, extremely excited about it.
“Since 2007, Bora has been on a mission to revolutionise the extractor hood. I’d say that mission has been achieved and that the market has been watching and waiting to see what we [Bora] would do next.
“We’ve listened to our customers and are really excited tpo bring a commercial grade product into the domestic kitchen.”
Designed in collaboration with one of Germany’s leading professional appliance manufacturers, the premium Wi-Fi steam oven features an “innovative” steam extraction system that, along with the charcoal filter, extract, purifies and recirculates the steam into the room. It offers three steam functions, features a 19-inch, intuitive touch-screen display and comes with a four-point food thermometer – for optimum results.
In addition to the oven itself, Bora’s latest product launch included the Multi-Drawer that can be used to reheat or defrost food, to keep meals warm or even cook meals at low temperatures. When combined with the X bo, all of the functions can be controlled via the oven’s control panel.
Bora has also extended the appeal of its Pure range with the addition of a new compact model. Measuring 60cm wide, the Bora S Pure cooktop – with integrated extractor – features four separate cooking zones.
