Daval shortlisted in Made for Yorkshire awards

British KBB furniture brand Daval has been shortlisted in three categories for the long-running Made in Yorkshire awards.

Huddersfield-based Daval was listed in three categories. The first is Manufacturing Innovation Award “for the company that has generated a substantial financial return and impact on a regional/national/international level from an innovative process designed and manufactured in Yorkshire”.

The second is the Digital Engineering/Technology Award “for the best used or developed software, technology or technical process”, and finally the Sustainable/Ethical Manufacturers Award, “which honours the company that has demonstrated greatest commitment to products and processes that forge a sustainable future for their company and the region”.

Daval managing director Simon Bodsworth said: “To be acknowledged as a finalist once again is a real honour, especially making finalist within three regional business award categories. We have worked fastidiously to ensure our customers receive the best-in design, quality and service, and we feel that a regional award is a true reflection of our market acceptance and retail preservation – let judging commence!”

Last year, Made in Yorkshire awarded Daval a Highly Commended in the Manufacturing Innovation category for its exclusive Option-I technology, which it said increased efficiency and automation and provided flexibility for its customers. The technology, it said, enabled it to deliver new furniture solutions to market 50% more quickly.

The award winners will be announced at an event at the Hilton Hotel in Leeds on March 5.
