Bette ends distribution deal with Ideal Bathrooms

German bathroom manufacturer Bette has announced changes to its distribution arrangements.

Ideal Bathrooms and Bette have agreed to cease their trading arrangement at the end of 2017. Davroc will take over product orders from Ideal Bathrooms from January 1, 2018.

To ensure a smooth transition, orders for delivery can still be made through Ideal Bathrooms before the end of the year. While Davroc will be taking orders from October 2 this year.

There will be no changes to Bette’s arrangement with Farmiloes, which has been distributing Bette products for more than 25 years.

Bette country manager UK Samantha Wake said: “We are looking forward to working with Davroc. They are a well-established family business with an excellent service reputation, and will be a perfect partner for the Bette brand.”

Danielle Lillis, Ideal Bathrooms commercial director, commented: “While respecting Bette’s decision to change their distribution arrangements, we are nonetheless disappointed as we have achieved year-on-year growth for them in excess of 20% over the past two years. We believe this is because we have provided excellent service with next-day delivery to the whole of mainland UK, supported by our expert in-house and field sale teams throughout our six-year association as Bette’s national distributor partner.”
