Electrolux head of finance resigns

Electrolux chief financial officer Tomas Eliasson (pictured) has announced his decision to resign from the company “to pursue an external opportunity”.

This follows the announcement of chief executive Keith McLoughlin’s retirement two weeks ago. McLoughlin will be succeeded by Jonas Samuelson on February 1.

Eliasson will remain with Electrolux for up to six months while a successor is recruited.

McLoughlin said: “We want to thank Tomas for his important contributions to Electrolux and wish him all the best in his new endeavour.”

Eliasson was appointed chief financial officer of Electrolux in 2012. Prior to that, he held the same position at Assa Abloy and Seco Tools.
