Home appliance manufacturer BSH has been named a top employer for the third consecutive year.
The Top Employers Institute awards the accolade to the “world’s most advanced employers” who have created a company where staff members can thrive and develop, both personally and professionally.
To gain the certification, BSH, which owns the Bosch, Neff, Siemens and Gaggenau brands, underwent a “rigorous analysis” of its human resources management and employee conditions.
The institute validates and independently audits each entry before awarding the certificate to companies.
The Top Employers Institute recognises more than 1,200 Top Employers across 116 countries.
David Plink, chief executive for the Top Employers Institute, commented: “Optimal employee conditions ensure that people can develop themselves personally and professionally. Our comprehensive research concluded that BHS Home Appliances provides an outstanding employment environment and offers a wide range of creative initiatives.”
BSH Home Appliances chief executive Andreas Meier said: “We are delighted to have been recognised for the third year running as a Top Employer. In 2016, we were the first company in our industry in the UK holding this certificate.”
Manfred Normann, BSH chief financial officer, added: “Our employees are vital to our continued success, as we strive to maintain the position as number-one home appliance manufacturer in Europe.
“The training and growth of our employees is a key focus for us, from on-boarding to development at all levels, so they can continue to progress, both professionally and personally within the organisation. It is obviously great to be recognised again this year.”
