The winners of the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2018 have been announced at the annual ceremony celebrating the best in the industry.
The event, which took place on March 5 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, saw comedian and actor Miles Jupp hand out the coveted trophies to winners for excellence in kitchen and bathroom design projects, retail and product innovation.
Scotland dominated on the night, with a total of four winners from the region.
Winners included Edinburgh-based Victor Paris Bathrooms for Bathroom Customer Service of the Year, The Bathroom Company in Edinburgh took home Bathroom Showroom of the Year, Laings in Inverurie won Bathroom Retailer of the Year, and Kilmarnock-based Kitchens by JS Geddes was awarded with Kitchen Retailer of the Year.
Londoners led the way in the design categories, with Tim Spiller and Liam Bennett from Crawford Partnership Architects taking home the award for Bathroom Designer of the Year – project cost up to £10,000, Kia Stanford and Alex Reichardt of Kia Design won Bathroom Designer of the Year – project cost £10,000 to £25,000, and Sola Kitchens’ Rhiannon Phenis was named winner of Kitchen Designer of the Year – project cost £30,000 to £50,000.
The special achievement award went to the KBSA, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.
“What a fantastic night, and a fantastic set of winners and finalists,” said kbbreview managing editor Andrew Davies. “It’s great to see some new names rising to the top, as well as seeing some big hitters continue to set the benchmark for excellence within the industry. The quality of design and retailing in this sector is superb and remarkably continues to amaze us.
“Congratulations to all of the winners and a massive thank-you to everyone who entered. I’m already looking forward to seeing what you all come up with for next year.”
