Ideal Standard has announced that when John Robinson (pictured) steps down from his role as director of business development and Ireland in April, he will become an industry ambassador for the company.
He has worked for the company for the past 31 years and will now work in the capacity of non-executive director as an industry ambassador on a part-time basis.
In this new role, he will be responsible for building, maintaining and leveraging key relationships with industry bodies on behalf of Ideal Standard.
Robinson started his career with Ideal Standard in January 1987, beginning as a sales representative and has worked his way up the ranks.
He was promoted to various roles throughout the years, before reaching his current position of business director OEM and Ireland.
Stephen Ewer, Ideal Standard’s managing director, said: “This is an important role that as a business we have not paid enough attention to over the past few years. It will be great to see all of the positive contributions that John’s industry connections will provide us in the area of greater influence and share of industry voice befitting our market leading position.
“This new role will ensure we can further leverage new opportunities in the market and develop the impact of our new product launches.
“John has been an invaluable member of the Ideal Standard team over the past 31 years, and we all congratulate him on his new role within the company.”
Robinson commented: “Ideal Standard has been a fantastic company to work for since I started back in 1987, and it’s been great to see the industry evolve and develop over the years.
“I’m looking forward to getting started on this new role and challenge, in what is an exciting and important year for the business.”
