BMA launches website for ‘ageless’ design

The BMA (Bathroom Manufacturers Association) has launched a new website dedicated to ‘ageless’ design in the bathroom.

It aims to provide advice and information on products, design, installation and safety for consumers and professionals.

Visitors can search for items suitable for their homes, or for public buildings, and download fact sheets on subjects ranging from supplier information to the latest regulations.

Chief executive Yvonne Orgill said: “Bathing is an integral part of life. Ten per cent of our population has special needs, suffering from some sort of disability. It is important that they have access to bathrooms in order to retain self-respect and independence.

“The ageless website will be continually improved and updated in the future and is a valuable resource for everyone that wants to create a bathroom that is easy to use and designed to make life easier.”
