JJO has invested £750,000 in a new one-stop trade shop in Rawtenstall, Lancashire, which is close to the JJO manufacturing facilities.
The new shop is set to open in the autumn and this year JJO will have been in business 150 years.
The development will be called Marshall House, which is after named long term JJO director Kenneth Marshall, who has been diagnosed with cancer.
Stephen Greenhalgh, joint managing director at JJO, said: “This trade shop development will put JJO on the map as it will give us a very visible presence on one of the busiest roads in the region.
“Had we not already have purchased Victoria works, I don’t think we would have looked at the building, but having that site so close means we already have the transport and management in place for this development, the new premises will also provide a base for our own collection and dispatch service.”
JJO have acquired the office building and will totally re-build it from the concrete base upwards around the existing steel structure.
