SHD buys major stake in ArtiCAD

IT software company, SHD AG, has acquired a majority stake in British software specialist ArtiCAD Holdings.

ArtiCAD specialises in the development and marketing of design software and custom technologies for the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom industry.

Stefan Hahne, chief executive of SHD, said: “We are delighted to welcome ArtiCAD as a new subsidiary of the SHD Group. Both the company strategy and the product portfolio perfectly complete our successful KPS planning software product family. With this acquisition we continue our growth strategy – especially in international markets.”

Turner said: “This affiliation with SHD AG, the leading provider for IT solutions for the German furniture and kitchen market, is the right alignment for ArtiCAD and for our new and existing customers. It extends our global growth opportunities significantly.”
