Geberit showroom becomes training hub for CIPHE and BMF

Geberit’s showroom at its Warwick head office has become accredited by the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE) and is also now a Regional Centre of Excellence for the Builders Merchants Federation (BMF).

The training academy and showroom will be able to be used by the CIPHE for training its members. The BMF will be able to use the facilities for training and development programmes, business advice and policy representation. Geberit has become the BMF’s 20th Centre of Excellence and will serve the federations West Midlands operations.

Brent Hudson, the recently promoted marketing and product management director, said: “The move to our new bespoke premises in Warwick just over 12 months ago has proved to be massively beneficial for the business in many respects but the showroom and training academy stand out as highlights.

“Our ambition was to create a hub that represents all that the Geberit brand stands for and give our people, partners and customers the opportunity to experience Geberit products, services and support first hand.”

The European sanitaryware brand’s showroom was launched in March 2017 following an investment to build a new 22,500sq ft headquarters.

John Newcomb, BMF CEO, said: “This stunning centre was opened on 19 July. The centre is well used by Geberit’s clients, and we are extremely grateful that they are opening it to our members too. We look forward to holding future training courses here, along with meetings for our own for members in the region, including the BMF Plumbing & Heating Forum on 6 November, the BMF West Midlands regional meeting on 21 November and the three-day leadership skills for supervisors course on 4-6 December.”

Hudson concluded: “The way in which the showroom has resonated amongst ourselves and visitors has exceeded all expectations. As a result, we have accelerated plans to refresh the space, to take on board both feedback from many of those who’ve used it, and to accommodate the additional products launched over the last year. The showroom has also been reconfigured to give Twyford products greater presence as the brand continues to grow.

“Everyone at Geberit is delighted that our facilities have been recognised by CIPHE but now also the BMF. We look forward to welcoming even more guests through the doors in the coming weeks and months.”
