London-based Mobalpa Pinner has reported £700,000 turnover in its first year of business.
Part of the French kitchen manufacturer’s franchise network in the UK, the store in Marsh Road, London, has also hired an additional designer, bringing its total staff count to four.
Alexis Pierre joined the Pinner showroom in January and has past experience in the property lettings industry.
Franchise owner Mo Yaqub, who originally invested £225,000 in the brand and showroom, said: “We’ve had a really enjoyable, fast-paced first year. I have over 25 years’ experience in property development and retail so getting to know the kitchen industry has been an interesting and worthwhile learning curve; the in-depth support received from the Mobalpa UK franchise team has been a huge asset.
“It’s a great start for our second year and future to have brought in additional designers. The kitchen market is volatile with its dependence on the housing and general UK economy but we are expecting an increase in sales within the high-end market.”
Kyle Whittle, national franchise development manager, said: “We’re keen to grow the Mobalpa franchise network in the UK, focusing on London as well as the M62 corridor from Manchester to Leeds.
“The success of Mo and his team at Pinner is heartening to see, and a result of his hard work and commitment to the brand.”
