kbb Birmingham reveals Innovation Award 2016 winners

The kbb Birmingham Innovation Award winners have been chosen and include products from Samsung, Sensio, Franke and Falmec.

The winners were selected as they “demonstrated uniqueness and forward-thinking approaches towards the future of the industry”.

In partnership with Blum, the judging panel included Jon Johnston, director of kbb Birmingham; David Sanders, marketing and sales director at Blum; Ruth Bell, editor of Kitchens Bedrooms & Bathrooms magazine; Renée Mascari, chief executive of KBB National Training Group and Hayley Tarrington-Robson, owner and creative director of Day True Architectural Interiors.

The winners will all be able to display their awards on their stands at the kbb Birmingham show, which runs from March 6-9.

Visitors will be able to vote for the Visitor’s Choice Award using the new kbb show app during the first three days of the show. The winner of this category will be announced on March 8 at 4pm.

What the judges said:

Samsung Family Hub refrigerator. “Integrated living is the future of smart appliances – all the technology in one place. A practical application, fun and perfect for the family hub.”

Sensio, SensioSound. “Fun and simple – proves a good idea doesn’t have to be complicated”

Wirquin Quick Fit. “Solving a common problem in the day-to-day life of a plumber – a product that will make a real difference.”
