Used Kitchen Exchange hires ex-B&Q Homefit staff

Used Kitchen Exchange (UKE) has made three appointments from B&Q’s Homefit Installation Service, which closed in December, as part of ambitious growth plans.

Following 12 years at B&Q Homefit as customer project and showroom manager, Rachael Taylor (pictured centre) joins the ex-display kitchen reseller as operations manager.

Siobhan Loughran (pictured right) had been a team leader at B&Q and had also worked within the installation service at Homebase.

Stuart Snowden (pictured left) had been a project coordinator at B&Q Homefit.

Helen Lord, director and founder of UKE, said, “We are delighted to welcome Rachael, Siobhan and Stuart to our team. They bring with them a wealth of experience and will be instrumental in supporting our next stage of growth.”

“Used Kitchen Exchange is a forward-thinking, sustainable business with a very exciting future.

“2019 is a pivotal year for us, with many exciting announcements planned. Having this level of expertise on board is an absolute gift and I am extremely grateful Rachael, Siobhan and Stuart have chosen to join us.”

UKE’s new operations manager Taylor said, “I am really excited to be a part of Used Kitchen Exchange.

“Having seen so many kitchens being taken to landfill during my career, it’s great to be part of a solution to this problem that not only is beneficial the environment, but also helps people make money out of something they would previously have thrown away.”
