Vitra launches its first Riba-accredited CPD training

Bathroom manufacturer Vitra has launched its first CPD training module accredited by architects institute Riba.

The Continuing Professional Development seminar run by Vitra aims to cover ‘Bathroom Design and Specification: Ceramic Sanitaryware’, and will count for eight points on an individual’s CPD portfolio.

The seminar is said to provide participants with a practical insight into working with ceramic sanitaryware, its specific considerations and processes.

It will cover the characteristics of different ceramic materials and their six-step manufacturing process from raw materials to casting and vitrification.

It will also set out to provide those taking part with an understanding of the various regulations and codes of practice that apply to sanitary and water installations.

Vitra marketing manager Margaret Talbot said: “The purpose of this CPD seminar is to help professionals involved in designing and specifying bathrooms with important areas of consideration like innovations, modern technologies, sustainability and improving sustainability ratings for buildings.”

This new offering module follows three previous CPD modules run by the Vitra tiles division on: understanding, specifying and designing with tiles; specifying tiles for the hospitality sector, and swimming pools with a tile finish.

The CPD seminars have been designed to fit into a lunchtime session and award eight points. To enquire about booking, contact [email protected]
