Franke sponsors the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards for the fourth year running

Franke is returning as sponsor of the Kitchen Designer of the Year project cost up to £30,000 category at the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2020.

The awards, which are being held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, will be the fourth year in a row that Franke has sponsored the event. Managing director Neil Clark said he continues to be impressed by the standard of entries. “As one of the industry’s most prominent platforms, the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards is an opportunity for us all to show our appreciation for the hard-working and talented individuals behind the products, projects and showrooms that help keep us all in business.

“This is the fourth year that Franke has sponsored the Kitchen Designer of the Year project cost up to £30,000 category and each time we have sponsored the award, the winners have demonstrated outstanding skill and design expertise to achieve wonderful results for their customers. As a leading brand that is committed to design excellence and nurturing talent, we savour the opportunity to celebrate this level of professionalism, talent and hard work.”

Franke is keen to support kitchen design and takes a long-term view by investing in the future of the industry. “We’re proud to sponsor two students who are completing a three-year, distance-learning foundation degree in kitchen design at Bucks New University with a 50% scholarship. The course is backed by the kitchen industry through The Kitchen Education Trust (TKET) and this provides a unique opportunity for students to learn and interact alongside experts in the field, including some of our More in Store retailers.

“This partnership gives students a first-hand insight into what they can expect when working as a full-qualified kitchen designer. It also provides the kitchen industry with a pipeline of talent with the appropriate skills to meet the demands of our evolving sector.”

On why the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards go hand in hand with Franke’s ethos, Clark said: “Events like the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards present a unique and high-profile opportunity to celebrate and reward the very best retailers, designers and products within the kitchen and bathroom sector. The awards bring the whole industry together under one roof and are a fantastic reminder of its diversity and dynamism, offering the chance to gain some perspective and to reflect away from day-to-day business pressures, which we all too often get stuck in the thick of.

“The awards also offer the chance to network with industry peers from the length and breadth of the UK, as well as to enjoy a wonderful evening celebrating alongside colleagues, which can be a great way to boost team morale. They also present an excellent marketing opportunity that can impact long after the event, providing a mark of excellence that ensures a business stands out from the competition. The awards showcase the very best of the best and provide the whole industry with a valuable benchmark.”
