Shortlist revealed for kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2020

The finalists for the biggest and longest-running awards in the kitchen and bathroom industry have been unveiled.

The kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2020 ceremony will be held on Monday, March 2 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole alongside the kbb exhibition at the NEC.

The shortlist for the 2020 awards includes many familiar names still at the top of their game, as well as plenty of newcomers looking to take their place among the industry’s top talent.

Stalwarts include Kitchens by JS Geddes and Kitchens International in Scotland, as well as Soaks Bathrooms in Belfast and TileStyle in Dublin.

Stephen Graver, who has been winner in these awards as a designer, now features in Kitchen Showroom of the Year and last year’s winner BathroomsByDesign appears again in Bathroom Showroom of the Year.

There are also new categories including New Kitchen Retailer of the Year which features, among others, Stone & Chrome. They’re also a finalist in the Bathroom Showroom of the Year but they branched out into kitchens during 2019.

The line-up for New Bathroom Retailer of the Year includes Rouse Bathrooms in West Wickham, Kent – a former Bathstore franchisee who has managed to bounce back with a new independent business.

In the design categories, there are plenty of new names, as well as previous winners and finalists. Diane Berry, from her eponymous kitchen business in Manchester, is back and Pippa Paton has chalked up two nominations – one for kitchen and one for bathrooms.

The other double nominee is newcomer Amy Stoddart from DayTrue, who is also shortlisted in both kitchens and bathrooms.

“It’s always a momentous moment when I do all the sums and the shortlist takes shape in front of me,” said kbbreview managing editor Andrew Davies. “The judges have a done a great job as there’s some fantastic entries in there. The next stage of judging begins in earnest now as we head towards the event in March where the winners are revealed.”

The kbbreview Retail & Design Awards is sponsored by some of the biggest names in industry and is the biggest social and networking event of the year. To book your places go to www.kbbreview.com/awards and if you do it before January 10 you can pay by invoice.
