Hacker Kuchen sees 2.3% growth in 2019

Häcker has reported sales of €616 million (£520m) in 2019, which was a 2.3% increase compared with the previous financial year (€602m).

Exports at the German-based company accounted for 39% of sales and it said that this will continue to be an area of investment in the future.

Contributing to this growth were investments in new products and a new plant at the Venne site in the Osnabrück region. The plant has a total area of 212,000sq m and created 450 new jobs.

The company was also honoured as a climate-neutral company by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Materialkunde (DGM) technical science association in Germany. Häcker actively promotes various environmental and social projects, with support in initiatives ranging from local flower meadows for wild bees to educational support in Sierra Leone, Africa.

Markus Sander, managing director sales, marketing and controlling, said: “On the one hand, we at Häcker Küchen are responsible for sustainable economic management of the existing resources and, at the same time, we have to lay the foundation for future growth.”
