Virtual Worlds returns as sponsor of the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards

Virtual Worlds is returning as the Social Media Partner of the 2020 kbbreview Retail & Design Awards at the Birmingham Metropole hotel on March 2. We sat down to talk to Nathan Maclean, managing director of Virtual Worlds, to find out why the company has supported the awards.

Q: What do you think makes the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards important to the KBB industry?
A: As one of the longest running awards ceremonies in the industry, the kbbreview Retail & Design awards are prestigious, with those shortlisted and the winners demonstrating the quality, experience and professionalism that is alive and well in the sector.

Q: How does Virtual Worlds work with and support retailers?
A: Virtual Worlds is the UK market leader in virtual reality software for the KBB market and a pioneer for all things digital in the industry. Since launching in 1997 as the first to offer photo realistic rendering, it has broken boundaries in virtual technology innovation – being the first company to develop 3D design software for KBB retailers and, most recently, the first to launch in-store theatre into independent kitchen and bathroom showrooms.

Such software breaks the boundaries of design and changes the way that bathrooms and kitchens are designed. Enticing consumers back to the high street to visit their independent retailer to experience what their dream room will actually be like, Virtual Worlds 4D Theatre is being extremely well received by retailers and consumers up and down the country.

4D Theatre is not only having a huge impact on how retailers plan kitchens and bathrooms for their customers but also on how showrooms are laid out. Rather than being restricted by physical showroom space, via virtual reality retailers are able to show an infinite number of colours and finishes. While only taking up one bay’s worth of physical space, the 4D Theatre enables the showroom to expand exponentially – in effect it becomes a showroom with no limits.

Q: In what ways do you think kbbreview benefits the KBB industry?
A: Kbbreview is a go-to resource for independent retailers looking for the latest news and views from across the industry. Independent kitchen and bathroom showrooms are pivotal to our own success as pioneers of the latest design solutions for the industry so it is fitting for Virtual Worlds to be involved in the kbbreview retail & Design Awards in this way.
