Whirlpool UK Appliances and Whirlpool EMEA have been named as top employers by the Top Employers Institute for the third year running.
Whirlpool UK Appliances is the parent company to KitchenAid, Whirlpool, Hotpoint and Indesit.
The institute says that ‘people-first’ HR practices and creating the best working environment for employees are important parts of being certified as Top Employers.
The Top Employers Institute assessed Whirlpool on the following criteria: talent strategy, workforce planning, on-boarding, learning and development, performance management leadership development, career and succession management, compensation and benefits, and culture.
Whirlpool EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) picked up the accolade of Top Employer Europe and has been certified by the institute in five countries – the UK, France, Italy, Poland and Russia.
Camila Perina, Whirlpool HR director for the UK and Ireland, said: “Whirlpool UK is honoured to have been awarded the prestigious Top Employers recognition for a third consecutive year and to be recognised for our continued dedication. This fantastic achievement makes us proud of being part of Whirlpool Corporation and motivates us to continue developing our employment practices.”
Top Employers Institute chief executive David Plink said: “To become recognised as a Top Employer, an organisation will have to prove that the implementation of their people strategies enriches the world of work of their employees. The certified participants are a shining example of a dedication to people practices as they continuously commit to empowering their employees for a better world of work. Congratulations!”
The Top Employers Institute Global Certification Programme has certified and recognised more than 1,600 Top Employers in more than 119 countries/regions across five continents.
