BA appoints new CEO

Northern-Ireland-based BA Components has appointed former Formica Europe boss Peter Rush as chief executive.

Rush has held the role of president/CEO of Formica Europe Group since May 2016. He will start his new role with BA on March 1. He has an MBA from Warwick Business School and started his career in operations, holding positions as operations director and general manager at a number of businesses owned by William Holdings, including Rawlplug and Heatrae Sadia.

Speaking about the appointment, joint founder Brian McCracken said: “We are very pleased to announce that Peter Rush will join us on the March 1 as the new CEO for BA. Peter joins us from the Formica Europe Group, which he has led since May 2016 as president/CEO.

“He comes with an impressive background of senior commercial and operations experience in branded manufacturing businesses.

“Peter has particularly strong experience of working across Europe and in the Far East having worked with a number of our major customers and distributors in the UK.”

The announcement coincides with the brand’s 30th anniversary and the launch of its new kitchen and bedroom brand – Blossom Avenue – at the end of 2019.
