Vitra has announced two new appointments for its new 5,600sq ft London showroom, which opens later this year in Clerkenwell.
Jamie Moakes will take on the role of showroom manager, while Shahnee Taylor-Brown assumes the role of specification executive.
Moakes will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Vitra’s new showroom, will aim to build strong relationships with new and existing clients. He will also organise the Vitra London events and exhibitions programme. He was previously business development manager at Day True Interiors and a sales designer at West One Bathrooms.
Taylor-Brown brings to her new role as specification executive extensive knowledge of London’s architects and design industry and before joining Vitra spent five years as a kitchen and bathroom sales designer at Buildbase.
At Vitra London, she will provide functional solutions for projects and help convert plans into designs and detailed product specifications.
Commenting on the new recruits, marketing manager Margaret Talbot said: “Vitra has ambitious plans for Vitra London and our new team members will be invaluable in terms of knowledge sharing and inspiration for interior and architecture projects. As the aim of the new showroom is to become a hub for the Clerkenwell design community, we want to build a space where clients can meet, work and socialise. The new team will be central to making this happen.”
