Falmec wins ‘Quiet Mark’ accreditation

Italian extraction specialist Falmec has been awarded ‘Quiet Mark’ status for its patented Noise Reduction System (NRS) technology.

The ‘Quiet Mark’ is an internationally recognised independent awards programme to encourage manufacturers worldwide to prioritise noise reduction in appliance design.

As a result, eight extractors from Falmec’s NRS collection now carry the ‘Quiet Mark’: Aria, Flipper, Gruppo Incasso, Lumina, Plane, Vela, Verso (pictured) and Zenith.

Falmec UK’s managing director, Sean Drumm, said: “In addition to all the proven scientific data on the efficiency of Falmec’s NRS cooker hoods, what’s even more important is that they can hardly be heard when extraction is in operation. In fact, noise is reduced by up to 86% to an almost imperceptible level. This makes these hoods the ideal products for including in a new kitchen, especially ones with an open-plan design.”
