Chalon looks to expand with retail network

British kitchen manufacturer Chalon is looking to recruit a network of retailers to sell its handmade kitchens as part of its growth strategy.

Its professional cabinetmakers have crafted its freestanding kitchens for the past 40 years. The Signature Original collection will be sold through the retail network in a range of colours and finishes.

Iana Saliuk, creative director at Chalon said: “We would ideally like to find 12 good retailers across the UK to start with and develop the network from there. We are in talks with a handful at the moment and are excited to extend the reach of this heritage British brand and its products across the UK kitchen market.”

The kitchens have a timeless feel with their aged paint effect and colour palette and lead times for the kitchens is six to eight weeks. Every kitchen is handmade and hand-painted in a special six-stage process.

Saliuk added: “Chalon kitchens are unique in design and styling and the brand has built up a strong reputation and heritage over 40 years. The brand is renowned for its distinctive look, and we will be exclusively producing and selling the Signature Original collection through our new retailer network.”

Chalon previously sold its kitchens through a showroom at its head office in Hambridge, which will remain open on an appointment-only basis.

Saliuk added: “Working with a dedicated list of retailers will enable us to extend the offer of the products further as well as build on the company’s brand positioning within the kitchen market.”

New retailers will have support from Chalon’s team, including full kitchen design support, marketing, POS, paint and handle samples, access to a digital library of photographs and videography. Lead generation via the Chalon website through a retailer listing and centralised marketing on websites, magazines and email.
