Cooking appliance manufacturer Glen Dimplex Home Appliances (GDHA), parent company of Stoves, Belling, New World, Britannia Living and Valor, is targeting significant growth in the 500mm cooking sector with a number of new product launches.
At this year’s Euronics show in Birmingham, GDHA unveiled a suite of new 500mm freestanding products across its Belling, New World and Valor brands.
The company said it performed well in this sector last year, achieving 25% market share.
According to GDHA, the newly extended range of 15 gas and electric products offer competitive pricing and improved product quality.
The collection of Belling, New World and Valor electric products covers all specifications, from an entry-level single cavity model up to a generously sized ceramic double oven with LED programmer.
As part of the new 500mm gas offering, the new product range includes all specifications, from a single cavity product up to a double oven with minute minder.
All the products are said to feature easy to clean ceramic interiors and the design of the range mirrors the aesthetic and build of the electric collection.
Andrew Freeman, head of category for freestanding at GDHA, said: “We are making a significant investment in the 500mm sector because it’s an area we’ve always performed strongly in and we believe there’s scope for further growth.
“We are expecting significant demand for these products as they are well made and keenly priced, offering great revenue opportunities for retailers.”
