Sven-Michael Funck has joined Schock’s top management team as chief sales officer.
He joins chief executive officer Ralf Boberg and chief technology officer Dr Marc Werkmeister. Funck (pictured) will be in charge of sales, marketing and product management for the company.
The company said the newly-created position was a direct result of its business performance.
“Owing to the sustained positive development of the company and the future projects, we firmly believe that adding a new director to the management team is the right thing to do,” said Boberg. “Sven-Michael Funck has been instrumental in our positive business development in recent years – particularly, the successful relaunch of our brand. In his new position, he is going to take a valuable, leading role in helping us to deliver our objectives and achieve our goals.”
Funck has previous experience in corporate management. While studying a degree in economics, he was also responsible for introducing a mid-market German kitchen supplier to the Austrian market as the director of its national subsidiary.
He joined Schock in July 2011 as director of international sales. During this role, he took on responsibility for business development, marketing and product management. Schock said his contribution helped the company to experience some positive increases in growth with new key accounts and distribution partners.
