Oliver Green Kitchens in the Wirral, Cheshire, has become the second kitchen showroom in the UK to offer Puustelli’s eco kitchen, the Miinus range.
The showroom opened on June 11 and will sell the range exclusively.
Owner and design director of Oliver Green Kitchens, Peter Brett (pictured), said: “Since first learning of the range I became a huge fan and was eager to offer it in an area where environmentally conscious consumers are growing in numbers. However, it was important that any kitchen range ticked all the boxes not just environmental ones. The Puustelli Miinus kitchen follows the principle of Scandinavian design that’s proved so popular in the UK and the range improves upon the component specifications of conventional ranges so we were eager to become a part of the Miinus network. The opening day event allowed visitors to see the range in close up and I’m delighted with the response that’s already generated a number of design appointments.”
The Miinus range is the result of a €1.5 million R&D development programme and utilises a bio-composite carcass frame that almost halves the carbon footprint of existing kitchen cabinetry.
Chief executive of Puustelli, Jussi Aine, said: “It’s important to us, while growing our network in the UK, that retailers wishing to become a part of the Miinus story are passionate about our product and share our commitment to a healthier environment. When Peter visited Finland to get a closer look at our factory operation, he displayed great enthusiasm for the ethos behind the Miinus range and what we aim to achieve. I’m delighted to welcome him and Oliver Green Kitchens as the latest addition to our UK family of Miinus retailers.”
