New MD for kbbreview publisher

Taylist Media, the publisher behind kbbreview and Kitchens Bedrooms & Bathrooms, has a new managing director.

Julie Williams (pictured), previously Taylist’s commercial director, takes over the role from owner and founder Patrick Taylor who is stepping back from the day-to-day running of the company after more than 12 years.

“I’m so pleased to hand over the day-to-day reins of Taylist to Julie,” Taylor said. “There’s no question that her detailed knowledge of all elements of the company coupled with her extensive commercial and management experience make her the natural fit for this role.

“I am wholly confident that her ideas and personality will give us the drive we need to take us forward in a market that is changing rapidly.”

Williams joined Taylist six years ago with a background in senior sales roles in national media.

“I’m delighted to take on the managing director’s role at such an interesting time,” she said. “The pandemic has accelerated many changes in the publishing sector and the current market is presenting us not only with challenges but also opportunities to serve the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom industry with ever more creative solutions.

“In kbbreview and Kitchens Bedrooms & Bathrooms we have the biggest, most respected and longest established media brands in the industry and that, coupled with a fantastic, knowledgeable and experienced team gives us a unique offer.”

Sales manager Tara McTigue also becomes the new Taylist Media commercial director, joining the senior management team of managing editor Andrew Davies and events and operations director Mark Pearson.

On September 15, Taylist hosts the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2021 in Liverpool – the sector’s biggest networking and social event and the first major post-pandemic industry gathering.
