Bolton-based bathroom products supplier PJH has launched a new virtual showroom to allow its customers to explore its latest product collections.
The virtual showroom provides 24/7 viewing of the latest products and collections at the company’s showroom in Cannock.
The investment in this new digital shop window is another tool in PJH’s post-Covid e-tail suite and was created for its nationwide network of sales representatives to allow independent stockists that can’t make it to its centrally-located showroom to access new products launches and aspirational displays for themselves.
PJH believes the new resource will allow it to showcase its products more realistically than it could in a brochure, allowing stockists to better visualise room sets and displays and get a better idea of how they would look in their own showrooms.
Commenting on the new virtual showroom, PJH multi-channel marketing manager Sally Hough said: “We developed this new sector benefit in partnership with our retail customers and sales team and it forms another important part of the PJH package of services designed to help make our customers’ businesses a success.
“Feedback has been incredibly positive. Many have reported on its high-quality graphics and links as well as its intuitive interface that simplifies the ability to explore different collections and displays, to help select products and demonstrate the best way to showcase them in retail showrooms.”
The 3D showroom will also allow those customers who already own a 3D headset to enjoy a more immersive and interactive experience with the ability to move around the displays and products.
She emphasised that the virtual showroom was not intended to replace face-to-face interaction with the company’s sales representatives.
“It’s not a replacement for more traditional sales and face-to-face relationships,” said Hough, “but rather it is an additional sales tool to work in harmony with all our interactions with the customer. As with our e-commerce Partners Portal platform, the virtual showroom is just another example of how we at PJH are continuously investing in the latest digital technology and embracing the new hybrid approach to business that is ultimately of benefit to our customers.”
PJH also said it plans to continue to invest and explore taking the software further and to integrate it even more into its online channel.
Established in 1972, PJH employs around 550 people on six sites and supplies bathrooms, appliances, sinks and taps to more than 3,000 independent retailers, merchants, house builders, developers and specifiers from its 350,000sq ft warehouse.
