Kutchenhaus makes it almost 50 with new store in Eltham

German kitchen brand Kutchenhaus has opened a new showroom  franchise in Eltham, south-east London.

With more than 40 stores already, this latest opening is said to edge the brand towards a total of 50 franchises in the UK.

A special ribbon-cutting ceremony welcomed new customers to the store on October 15 and was attended by Kutchenhaus national head of sales and operations Sean Ford.

The two-storey 1,750sq ft showroom, which is located in St Mary’s Place, just off the high street, is managed by John Lait, who has 30 years’ experience in the kitchen industry, having worked as a senior design consultant for several prestigious competitor brands in south-east London.

Lait commented: “We are incredibly happy to have opened our new store in Eltham and can’t wait to welcome the local community so they can view the contemporary displays that are on offer. The showroom has been transformed incredibly quickly. It has taken just five weeks to transform the space to high quality standards and we are proud to now be ready to open.

“We’ve noticed that Eltham and many of the nearby areas are bright up-and-coming places. There is a lot of investment and development happening in the region, so it seemed an ideal fit to open our showroom here. We are also excited to be launching a business that can support the local community on their home improvements.”

The new store will initially employ two members of staff and plans to take on another three within the next year.

Any customers who cannot attend the store in person will also be able to take advantage of virtual appointments and Kutchenhaus’s online 3D planning tool.

On behalf of Kutchenhaus, Sean Ford said: “The past 18 months have provided plenty of challenges, but Kutchenhaus has adapted and continued to experience fantastic growth, which we hope will continue over the next two to three years. It is extremely satisfying that John is in a position to be able to open a new store in Eltham and offer local customers the opportunity to plan and design their dream kitchen.

“The new showroom will no doubt offer an engaging environment and deliver a high-quality product – a market opportunity that we know is currently in high demand. We wish the team all the best and wait to see their future success.”

The Kutchenhaus brand is owned by Nobilia, has its own factory and sells direct to consumers through its network of franchise stores.
