Bathroom manufacturer Cavalier Bathrooms has announced David Gannon (pictured) as its new managing director, succeeding Rob Harrison who will become chairman.
The appointment, which is effective immediately, comes as part of the bathroom specialists’ strategy of enhancing the customer experience through new systems and continuing to invest in UK manufacturing.
Speaking about his new role, Gannon, who has 35 years’ experience in the bathroom industry, said: “I’m thrilled to be moving into the managing director position, having worked alongside Rob for three years. He has done a fantastic job in leading and innovating this company. We’ve had great success in increasing our manufacturing capabilities in our Keighley factory, and plan to build on this, enabling us to be more self-sufficient and less reliant on importing.
“It’s time for us to truly embed our values into the business and demonstrate why we’re market-leading on both specification and value,” said Gannon. “Going forward, we’ll be placing even greater importance on innovation and creating ways to make our customers’ lives easier. It’s about the experience, not just the end product.”
Harrison, who has been at the West Yorkshire-based company for 30 years, commented: “It’s a really exciting time for us here at Cavalier and I’ve every faith David will take the business to the next level. The team and our customers are in great hands with David’s expertise and encouragement and I’m looking forward to watching the business go from strength to strength under his guidance.”
The appointment follows the recent acquisition of brassware company Tre Mercati in 2021, a move that Cavalier Bathrooms said allows it to enter new markets with an increased range of brassware for both the kitchen and bathroom.
Gannon commented: “We have great plans for the next 12 months and with a workforce as committed and hard working as we’ve ever had here, I’m excited to see what the future holds.”
Cavalier Bathrooms retails its brands Aquadart, Elation, April Products, and Niagara through distributors, merchants, multiple retail, contractors and retail showrooms.
