Rak Ceramics opens global Design Hub in London

Rak Ceramics has opened a new Design Hub in London that will serve UK retailers and the global design community.

Rak Ceramics‘ showroom is 7,276sq ft; it is over two floors and located on 100 St John Street, in the heart of the design and architectural community in Clarkenwell, London.

The upstairs is dedicated to showing the various ceramic and brassware options; it has various small displays that showcase the range of different designs Rak can create with its products. Then the downstairs has a bar, a Virtual Worlds VR area, an interactive sample display, plus a range of tiles and mega slabs of surfaces.

Abdallah Massaad, Group CEO at Rak Ceramics, said: “London is the obvious choice to launch our first global Design Hub concept. The UK is an increasingly important market for RAK Ceramics, and London is home to many of the world’s leading designers, architects, and project specifiers. The RAK Ceramics Design Hub is a unique concept where the design community can experience the innovative possibilities of our products.”

Leonardo De Muro, VP of marketing and communications at Rak Ceramics, said: “The Rak Ceramics Design Hub is a unique concept in our retail portfolio which allows us to bring together the design community, showcase unique products, and create a brand experience that is both inspiring and informative.”

The showroom has a huge variety of products, including the designer collections from Maurizio Scuttella, Debiasi and Sandri, and Patrick Nourget and a new range created in collaboration with renowned fashion designer ELIE SAAB.

Alvin Biggs, managing director at Rak Ceramics UK, said: “We are proud that London has been selected as the location for RAK Ceramics’ first global Design Hub, and we look forward to welcoming the international design community; to showcase RAK Ceramics’ global product innovations.”

During the launch event, kbbreview’s Vicki Evans had an exclusive interview with Massaad and De Muro, and that interview will be in the August issue of kbbreview.
