On its annual Charity Golf Day, Rak Ceramics raised £44,000 for Rowans Hospice, which provides high-quality, end-of-life care in south-east Hampshire.
Rak Ceramic customers and colleagues gathered on July 21 at the Kings Course at Warwickshire Golf Club for a hole-in-one on a course competition with sponsored holes and special awards.
The day was filled with healthy competition, and prizes were up for grabs for Nearest to Pin and Longest Drive winners. During the evening, a charity auction featured prizes generously donated by Rak Ceramics staff.
Rak Ceramics sales and marketing director UK Ben Bryden said: “It was a really lovely day, enjoyed by all and most importantly with a very generous amount of money raised for a very worthwhile cause. Our staff and customers enjoyed catching up, networking and a day away from the office or showroom for what turned out to be another very successful day on the green.”
Donations are still being accepted at justgiving.com/fundraising/rak-ceramicsgolfday, and those wishing to attend next year’s golf day in 2023 can email: [email protected].
