German sanitaryware manufacturer Hansgrohe has appointed Jay Phillips as director of sales, global projects EMEA.
Phillips (pictured) will be based at Hansgrohe UK and will report directly to Hans-Jürgen Kalmbach, vice-president of sales, global projects.
In his new role, he will be responsible for driving the global strategy for the EMEA regions and accelerating key accounts across the hospitality sector. He will also further develop global project sales processes for the Hansgrohe Group.
Phillips started his career with Hansgrohe in 2012 as head of projects, where he played an instrumental role in driving the projects division and achieving record sales growth over the past three years. In 2014, he was promoted to sales director, projects.
He brings more than 20 years’ experience in the sanitary industry to the new role and prior to Hansgrohe has worked for Grohe and Kohler.
He will start in his new role on September 1.
Kalmbach said: “Jay fulfils his position with high commitment and dedication and was a prominent team member involved in the successful launch of ‘The Water Studio’, Clerkenwell, London, and in achieving record sales in the UK projects channel in 2013, 2014 and again in 2015.”
