BA Clic Components has secured £440,000 of funding from the Sheffield City Region (SCR) Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).
The LEP funding is designed to enable BA Clic Components to bring 40 new jobs to Rotherham.
The BA Clic Components factory will be manufacturing ClicBox, a product that it claims will make cabinet assembly easier and doesn’t require tools, fittings or glue.
BA Clic’s sales and marketing director David Caulfield said: “We are delighted to continue expansion in the South Yorkshire region where we have already established business with another company within the group, employing over 150 people in Doncaster.
“Our experience of the skill set and work ethic of the people of this region convinced us of the prudence of setting up a further operation here in Rotherham.
“We are convinced this can create real job opportunity and continued economic growth in and around this area.”
The newly established company operates from a refurbished 52,000sq ft factory at Barbados Way, Hellaby in Rotherham.
