Crown Imperial sponsors Herne Bay air show

Kitchen furniture manufacturer Crown Imperial has revealed it was one of the sponsors of the Herne Bay air show, held on August 14.

The show included flying displays with Crown choosing to sponsor the Lancaster Bomber to celebrate its British design and heritage spanning 70 years.

Barry Head, managing director, said: “It seemed a fitting tribute to mark our 70th anniversary and support a local community event. The fly-past approached from the east past Reculver Towers – where the bouncing bombs were originally tested before their use in the Dambuster raids – accompanied by both a Spitfire and Hurricane from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. Several fly-passes were made in front of the thousands of spectators on Herne Bay seafront to the delight of the crowd and the Crown team. A great day was had by all.”
