Installers association the BiKBBI has appointed Paul Da Silva to the newly-created role of brand ambassador.
The British Institute of Kitchen Bedroom and Bathroom Installation (BiKBBI) has created this new position to help it make further progress towards reaching its strategic objectives and drive positive change in the industry.
Da Silva, who is regular columnist in kbbreview, had held senior management positions at Travis Perkins, Benchmarx, Howdens, Magnet, B&Q and MFI over a career spanning almost 30 years.
Recently, Da Silva has worked as a consultant in the KBB industry working with many national chains, European manufacturers and sellers and independent retailers in the UK.
Commenting on his new role at the BiKBBI, Da Silva said: “I am delighted to be working alongside Damian and the team at BiKBBI. This is a much-needed and integral part of the KBB sector, and I have watched with interest the progress of the institute since its inception. It’s great to be part of an organisation that champions positivity and is part of shaping the future of the industry that I am so passionate about.”
BiKBBI chief executive Damian Walters said: “The creation of this position marks a significant milestone for the institute and highlights the importance we place on achieving our objectives, which are determined by industry needs. In order to achieve these targets, which will ultimately benefit the whole KBB sector, we need to reach the wider industry and there is no doubt that Paul’s extensive knowledge, experience and wide-spanning network, along with his passion for what we are trying to achieve, will be a great addition to our strategic approach.”
The BiKBBI is a Government-sanctioned not-for-profit organisation that represents more than 6,400 installation businesses across the UK, as well as a number of KBB retailers, manufacturers and distributors of KBB products.
