Premium bathroom furniture manufacturer Burgbad has announced the sudden death of its sales manager John Drake.
He died on September 5, aged 59.
Drake (pictured) had more than 20 years of industry experience, including roles at Villeroy & Boch in the UK and USA. He joined Burgbad in 2004 and was the driving force in establishing the brand in the UK.
The company described Drake as a “conscientious, knowledgeable and valued member” of the Burgbad and extended Vitra teams. He was much liked and respected by his colleagues and customers and “will be greatly missed”.
Drake enjoyed music and motorsports, which he took a great interest in as a spectator, often attending track days in his classic sports car.
He is survived by his wife Maureen, his mother, his daughter and stepson and stepdaughter.
