German kitchen retailer Kutchenhaus is looking to open two more franchise stores in Scotland this year.

Kutchenhaus opened its first store in Scotland in Aberdeen five years and its most recent opening was in April this year at 223 Great Western Road in Glasgow.

The retail franchise is now planning two more stores for 2023. The first will be in Falkirk and then Ayrshire later in the year. The Falkirk store is said to be “coming soon” and will be in the village of Skinflats.

Paul Lee, Kutchenhaus head of marketing told kbbreview: “We can’t give away too many details at the moment. This being said, our franchise partners for this showroom [Falkirk] have owned the property for a while. It was underused as offices, so they looked into other, more efficient uses of the space and their expertise in kitchen fitting naturally led them to becoming Kutchenhaus showroom owners.”

When asked why Kutchenhaus was now focusing on Scotland, Lee said: “Why Scotland? It’s simply a combination of expanding the brand further and getting the right franchise partners on board. We see a lot of potential in Scotland and recent performance supports this. Glasgow is performing well, and we certainly see an opportunity for a showroom in Edinburgh in the future.”

Asked if there might be multiple stores in the bigger cities such as Glasgow and Edinburgh, he added: “We also see room for several showrooms in these cities too as the business expands in the country. So it’s an exciting time.”

Commenting on the move north of the border, Lee concluded: “The next few years are an important time for the brand. The business has spent decades continually investing in technology, research and product development, to deliver the very best solutions to customers. When a new showroom opens, we’re confident that the space is somewhere that visitors will feel welcomed, excited and inspired to start designing their dream kitchen alongside our experts.”

Kutchenhaus, which is owned by Nobilia, currently has more than 60 showrooms across the country offering quality German kitchens.

Kutchenhaus has introduced new styles for thus year, including StoneArt305 in taupe grey and Cascada 778 in fjord blue (pictured).
