Richard Curtis has been named as the new managing director of Häfele UK.
The Häfele group is celebrating its 100th anniversary and Curtis joined the UK arm of the German fittings and accessories supplier earlier this year.
Curtis has 20 years’ experience at MD level in manufacturing and distribution in the building products and lighting sectors.
Responsible for the day-to-day running of the company, Curtis’s skill are said to major on managing sales, driving profitable growth and developing new market opportunities through brand leadership and strong customers relationships.
Commenting on his appointment, Curtis said: “Häfele is renowned for its heritage, innovation and outstanding service for customers working in all areas of retail, production, design and installation. Being able to join such a capable team, at what is a pivotal moment in the group’s history, is a huge opportunity and one I am already enjoying.
