Spanish bathroom furniture brand Salgar has set up a UK subsidiary to handle distribution and sales of its products.
Salgar manufactures all of its bathroom furniture in its factory in Zaragoza and has now set up a warehouse and office in Birmingham as part of its plan to grow its overseas sales, especially after its UK sales, according to export manager Francisco Robles González, dropped after Brexit.
With its new base in Birmingham, Salgar UK says that it will allow it to better serve customers in the UK providing them with more personalised customer service. It also promises to provide the best possible delivery service with a wide range of products in stock in its UK warehouse.
The company hopes that the new warehouse will enable it to offer its products and services to a more diverse customer base.
The family-owned business was established in Spain in 1947 and manufactures around one million units a year from its 50,000sq metre factory in Zaragoza. It has invested €14 million in product and R&D between 2018 and 2020.
