Howdens moves to Wigmore Street

Trade kitchen giant Howdens has announced that it is now to have a presence on London’s prestigious kitchen alley – Wigmore Street.

With immediate effect, its registered office has moved from 40 Portman Square, London, and is now located at 105 Wigmore Street, at the heart of London’s kitchen sector.

Earlier this month, the company reported a drop in UK revenue for the period to October 28, 2023. In its latest trading update the company said that it had seen a 2% dip in revenue for that period, compared with the same period in 2022, with like-for-like sales down 3.3%.

In contrast to the fall in revenue generated by the UK market, Howdens’s international revenue figures were much more positive. In the first six months of the year, Howdens saw international revenue growth of almost 30% over 2022’s figures.

It’s been a significant year for the brand. In January, it unveiled a new multimillion-pound production line and extension at its factory in Howden, Yorkshire, as part of its ongoing strategy to increase its manufacturing capacity.

Then in April, it opened its 800th UK depot in Rowley Regis in the West Midlands.
