Utopia reports that it has continued its charity fund-raising throughout 2023 through the work of the Liz Green Remembrance Fund.

The fund was set up earlier this year in the name of Liz Green, one of the company’s founders, who dies in September 2022. The fund supports two national charities – Cancer Research UK and Macmillan Cancer Support.

The company has staged a series of fund-raising events throughout the year for the fund’s two chosen charities.

Utopia also raises money for local care hospice Compton Care, which provides specialist palliative and bereavement support for people living with life-limiting conditions, as well as for The Good Shepherd, a Wolverhampton-based charity supporting disadvantaged people, which aims to end homelessness, support recovery and create pathways out of poverty.

The company has also donated lots of brand-new clothes to Compton Care to help them raise further funds, and it will also donate the proceeds of its end-of-year Christmas jumper day and raffle to the charity.

Utopia joint managing director, and Liz’s brother, Ian Hall said: “We’re delighted to have supported these four charities throughout 2023 as part of our ongoing activities. In doing so, it’s also a very positive way for us to honour Liz’s memory.”
