Pumps and macerators specialist Saniflo has announced that its managing director, Tim Pestell, has retired, with sales director Dave Cook now picking up the mantle.
Pestell originally joined the company in early 2007 as sales director, before being promoted to managing director in January 2013. Prior to working at Saniflo, he held sales positions at Aqualisa and Ideal Standard.
During his time in the role, he oversaw the upgrade of Saniflo’s complete domestic range, and also helped introduce multiple new products to its commercial range – such as underground pumps and floorstanding lifting stations. He also helped champion Saniflo’s Kinedo shower brand, as well as oversaw the emergence of its all-in-one cubicle product.
During his time at the company, Pestell has also helped to raise thousands for charity whilst engaging in his cycling hobby. Along with other Saniflo colleagues, he took part in cycle rides from the Saniflo offices all the way to Paris, one of which as recently as September 2023.
Pestell says that following his retirement, he is looking forward to having more time to indulge in his passion for cycling, and also intends to continue his support of various charities, as well as volunteering for his local church. Saniflo says it wishes him a long and happy retirement.
New MD Dave Cook originally joined Saniflo in May 2023, and has been shadowing Pestell for the last several months in preparation for his new role. He spent the last 26 years of his career at Baxi Heating, where he started as area contracts manager, and worked his way up to the position of sales director.
Saniflo says that Cook has already hit the ground running in his new role, and hopes to build on Pestell’s success by focusing on the company’s commercial pump range and the Kinedo brand.
Cook said that he was delighted to be taking over as the new head of Saniflo. He said: “Following in the successful footsteps of Tim, my aim is to increase Saniflo’s share of the commercial pump market, whilst also focussing on the Kinedo showering range. We have a great team here at Saniflo who are enthused to achieve the companies’ ambitions”.
