Q: How can suppliers best serve their retailers in these tough economic times?

A: Suppliers need to dedicate resources and time to their customers. A one-size-fits-all approach to relationships just doesn’t work in 2024, as we need to understand the challenges, as well as strengths and opportunities, of each of our customers. This helps to build strong relationships and also provide the necessary tools and resources to help our customers sell to consumers. 

With the current state of the economy and cost-of-living crisis, home renovation projects are very much a considered purchase and people are taking longer and more time to purchase and select the products that they want. That’s why it is so important to have those strong relationships with retailers and to serve them better. Alongside those relationships, a supplier’s responsibility to its retailers is to drive as much awareness of the brand which in turn, drives footfall into stores.
