Organisers of this month’s InstallerSHOW have announced a new zone for the 2024 event, which will focus on innovation and best practice in the tile and worktop markets.
Officially called “The Surface Area”, organisers say the event space will host demonstrations from surface experts who will be showcasing the manufacturing technology that underpins surface product development.
The aim of the new area will be to deliver comprehensive insight into modern techniques that are currently being used to produce new and creative designs, with support from organisations and brands such as BiKBBI, Nanda Tiles, Cristacer, and VitrA.
This will reportedly cover everything from using digital dust deposition in 20mm exterior tiling, sinking inks to create embossed-in-register designs on marble-effect worktops, to harnessing continuous pressing and rectification to create ceramic wallpaper and modular tiling.
Visitors will also be able to visit the space to see examples of new surfaces created by modern polishing techniques, as well as digital glazing – said to be a brand new technology that represents a major step forward in surface design.
In order to enhance the space for visitors, a range of tile experts will be on hand throughout the event to talk about the technology on display.
The Surface Area can be found on stand 4C18 at InstallerSHOW, and forms just one part of the wider Installer Kitchens & Bathroom event.
InstallerSHOW will be taking place between June 25 and 27, at the NEC in Birmingham. kbbreview, the leading business media platform in the independent kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom retail sector, is proud to be partnering with Installer Kitchens & Bathrooms as the event’s official content partner.
