MHK to host AGM celebrating six years of UK operation

The Belfry Hotel and Resort in Sutton Coldfield

MHK UK will host its Annual General Meeting on July 8 at The Belfry in Sutton Coldfield.

The buying group is celebrating its 6th anniversary of UK operation and the AGM will have a programme that includes industry speakers, roundtable discussions, and an evening dedicated to “celebrating the best in kitchen and bathroom design.”

The UK meeting will round off a series of AGMs across Europe this summer in which members have met from across Germany, The Netherlands, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, France, and Belgium.

The Group says this year’s AGM motto, ‘Go for Impact’, is “important in highlighting one of Europe’s largest buying group’s commitments to empowering its members to succeed.” The AGM is open to non-members by request.

“The AGM is an opportunity for our members to make the most of the vast network of experts that MHK offers access to,” says David Morris, sales director for MHK UK.  “It’s not just about the business insights; it’s about fostering relationships and sparking collaborations that can drive the industry forward as a whole and empower our members.

“The feedback we are getting from our members across Europe is that everyone is looking for community right now, especially whilst the economy is presenting its challenges. By coming together, we leverage our collective strength and expertise to overcome challenges and seize new opportunities in the kbb sector.

“We warmly encourage prospective retailers to get in touch if they’d like to attend the conference to see what MHK is about and learn first-hand from their peers of the benefits.”

Founded in 1980, the MHK Group has more than 4,200 shareholders across Europe, who generated sales of €9.7 billion in 2022. Back in April, MHK said it had remained resilient in the face of the economic crisis in Europe, with its retail partners seeing relatively flat sales figures over the past year.
