Kitchen manufacturer Moores has welcomed two new apprentices to its machine shop, saying it is “committed to supporting the next generation of engineers”.

Dominic Thornton and Billy Beaumont are both apprentices pursuing Wood Machinist Level 2 qualifications with the manufacturer. Moores says the two new apprentices joined its team in May, and have already settled well into their roles, having already learned useful new skills.

“I chose this position in order to learn a good trade,” Thornton said, “after thoroughly researching, I found Moores to be a very professional company and I’m really enjoying my time here.”

Beaumont added: “I really think Moores will be the perfect place for me to develop my skills. I’ve had a passion for woodwork since I was young and have already designed several projects.”
