Poggenpohl MD wins industry influence award

Poggenpohl MD Sharon Wallis

Poggenpohl managing director Sharon Wallis has been named the most influential female managing director in the kitchen design sector, according to Acquisition International Magazine.

The accolade was awarded to Wallis as part of the magazine’s ninth Influential Businesswoman Awards. First launched in 2016, the awards programme says it was created to “remind the corporate world of [the] incredible achievements of women throughout a spectrum of industries”.

According to Poggenpohl, Sharon Wallis’ award win was attributed to the fact that “she brings not only excellence in fiscal responsibility, but maintains a stable and driven workforce by balancing fair management with a happy disposition”.

Wallis first joined the company as financial director in 2006, before taking over as managing director in 2020.

Mike James, operations director for Poggenpohl UK, congratulated Wallis on her award win, saying: “Everyone at Poggenpohl is delighted for Sharon! She is regarded so highly within the business, as well as in the wider KBB community.”

In other news, Poggenpohl recently appointed a new dealer manager for UK and Ireland.
