HiB extends charity partnership for another year

Bathroom supplier HiB has smashed its annual fundraising target for Home-Start UK, and has now signed on to continue its charity partnership for another 12 months.

Through corporate donations, volunteering and staff fundraising, HiB was able to raise an impressive total of £25,872.50. Following its success, the company has signed an agreement to continue its support of the charity over the next year, which it kickstarted by presenting the charity with a cheque for £20k at the beginning of August.

Home-Start works with families and children across the UK who are “close to breaking point due to isolation, bereavement, illness, mental health issues, financial insecurity and more”. The charity says it believes it has reached over 78,000 children in 43,692 families across the country.

Through activities such as the London half marathon and a Halloween fundraiser, HiB estimates its fundraising work has been able to offer direct support for almost 500 families in the UK.

Specifically, funds will go towards the recruitment and training of an additional 539 Home-Start volunteers. Each volunteer assists six families, on average, which means over 3,000 families could receive the essential support they need from HiB’s donation alone.

Despite its success with the past 12 months of fundraising, HiB says it doesn’t plan to rest on its laurels. It has committed to even more fundraising events, volunteering opportunities and initiatives, starting with 10 HiB employees completing the Three Peaks Challenge next month.

Robert Ginsberg, CEO of HiB, said he was ” incredibly proud” of his staff for their charity work. He commented: “Our partnership with Home-Start has not only allowed us to give back to the community, but also strengthened our company culture. We are excited to continue this journey for another year and to keep making a difference to the lives of families – every contribution helps ensure that no child or family is left behind.”

Home-Start’s CEO, Peter Grigg, added: “We are so proud of our partnership, the support from HiB has been phenomenal. The commitment goes beyond financial contributions; it extends to hands-on involvement and genuine care for the families we support. We are excited about the future of this partnership and the continued positive impact it will have on communities across the UK.”

Last month, HiB also announced key changes to its board of directors, which the company said marked a new era for the business.
